A 10-minute boat ride from Playa San Juan leads to a cavern built into the shore, featuring two halls at a depth of 12 meters. The right hall extends slightly further, while the left hall has a hole in the ceiling that allows light to enter the cavern. Inside, you can find a fascinating brain-looking sponge (Corallistes nolitangere), which is unique to caves with fresh water access between Portugal and Cape Verde.
